Are you willing to shove to get what you came after?

My little girl must have felt my apprehension for her to play on the toys in the Pediatric Lobby because she very sheepishly asked if she could go slide on the carpet slide. She was right,  I was not excited about her grabbing the toys that all the sick kids had in their hands five minutes before we got there.  So, I  hesitantly said yes.  I watched her make her way to the top and wait for all the other to slide.  They were going very slow and one by one they all nicely sat down and slid down the ramp.  I watched my little girl's eyes turn very serious.  Her frustration was obvious.  These kids were taking forever and she was not into waiting her turn.  Then suddenly in one fail swoop she lunged through the line.  Shoving a couple of kids aside and diving head first on her belly.  I was a little embarrassed!  I then proceeded to give her the we don't shove people talk but on the inside was strangely proud of her guts!  You see any time we see people shoving through the crowd to get something they long for we see BIG things happen.  The woman with the issue of blood pushed and grabbed Jesus' garment and because of it she was healed.  Blind Bartamaeus was not intimidated by all of the crowd, including Jesus' disciples, telling him to shut up.  He just kept yelling and pushing and because of it his blind eyes were opened.  You may need something.  You may not know how to get it.  You may be being told to relax it will happen if its meant to be and you just need to follow the rules.  "Good things come to those who wait." Right?  No, great things come to those who have the guts to push through the crowd and grab hold of Jesus no matter what the cost.  I don't know what you need today but I do know that Jesus' garment has it.  So, go for it, don't take no for an answer, and don't stop until you get what you came after.

  1. Jesus helps those who helps themselves:). I'd love to be able to sit back and reap the blessings...but if I'm not sowing...I'm wasting my time and God's:).
